Part Time Custodial Position

Part-Time Custodial position open at Lucas County Courthouse.  Duties include but are not limited

to, sweeping and vacuuming floors, dusting, mopping, cleaning and stocking restrooms, garbage

pick up from offices and other duties as assigned.  Assistance with mowing and snow removal

as needed.  Ninety (90) day probation period.  Approximately 20 hours per weeek.  Hourly wage

is $16 per hour.  Pick up applications at the Lucas County Auditor's Office.  Please turn in application

Part-Time Assessor Clerk

The Lucas County Assessor’s Office is accepting applications for a Part-Time Assessor Clerk. This position provides general clerical and administrative support within the Assessor’s Office and assists with duties related to the property assessment process. The ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with the public and various types of property data.

Hours:
Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. (20 hours per week).
Some flexibility in scheduling may occasionally be required.

Wage and Benefits:
$18-20 per hour.
Includes participation in the Iowa Public Employees’ Retirement System (IPERS); no other benefits are provided.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform general clerical and administrative tasks, including filing, data entry, and record keeping.
  • Assist the public in person, by phone, and by email regarding property assessment information.
  • Prepare and maintain assessment records, reports, and correspondence.
  • Support the Assessor’s Office in reviewing property data and documentation.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Assessor.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and general computer use.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Experience in real estate, property assessment, or a related field preferred.
  • Prior office or local government experience helpful but not required.
