The Lucas County Recorder/Registrar is the historian for all real estate transactions and documents from the 1850s to the present. Other miscellaneous records can be found such as military discharges, certified birth, death, and marriage records. Applications for marriage licenses can also be found at the Recorder's Office. The Recorder assists the Iowa DNR by registering boats, snowmobiles, ATV’s, ORV’s and dirt bikes, as well as issuing all resident and non-resident hunting and fishing licenses, deer tags and turkey tags.
